MayanToons is in charge of the design of educational material that promotes the knowledge, approach and conservation of the native natural resources of Guatemala and Mesoamerica. MayanToons generates graphic material, such as illustrations, layouts, comic-books, posters and educational animations that highlight the importance of flora, fauna, and Mayan culture of the Mesoamerican territory. This educational material is also prepared in different mayan languages of Guatemala (Q’eqchi’, Kaqchikel, Poqomchi’). Our goal is to educate children, youths, and adults about the diversity of the native natural resources of Guatemala and Mesoamerica. The educational material that we elaborate discloses the main characteristics of each resource, so users can identify them, learn each species’ role in the ecosystem and the best sustainable practices for its use.
